Yes
I have applied to join the BBC Question Time audience in Wootton Bassett for next week’s show. The odds of getting on are very remote but one has to try.
If selected (hell will freeze over first) I want to bring up section 44 and the rights of photographers.
Is there any other topics relevant to member on this forum that they would want to ask the panel?

There was even a case in which a BBC news photographer was stopped by the police for photographing a sunset on the Thames.

Best of luck getting on the show. Unfortunately, even if you do get on I think a Wootton Bassett audience may have other concerns, unless of course a famous photographer gets arrested in the week beforehand!

Have you seen who the guests are, all defence related, plus the location of Bassett means it'll all be about the war on terror.

Given that anti-terror laws are being used against photographers I think the loose connection might warrant the question being asked, why not?

Yes Byker, I have seen who will be on the panel, so the chances of me getting on will be almost nil. And given the location and the poignancy of what the town does during the repatriations, I don’t really mind if I get selected or not. Other people deserve their place far more than I do.

However, if I don’t try, I will never know.

Oh well, good luck with it.
Be nice to hear what the panel's views are.

Do the BBC vet QT audiences so the show leans the way the producer wants?

The procedure for audience participation on QT is a telephone interview, which you have to tell the Beeb what your question is going be.

Cheers - I seem to recall someone telling me they had a telephone interview that was either for QT or Panorama with a studio audience and they were asked about their political leanings.
