BBMF @ RAF Benson

[hoolio]

BBMF Lancaster and four Spitfires at RAF Benson tonight leaving at 12.00 tomorrow (Sat) though I did see two of them heading towards Oxford about 18.30?

Anyway may present a photo op if you are in the area.

I think they will be leaving before then as the Queens Jubilee Flypast is due over Windsor at 11:30 I believe.

Lancaster to leave Benson at 11.55, four Spitfires at 12.00. Going to take a mooch down there but no long lens unfortunately.

Also all RAF, Army and Navy helicopters arrived back here about 12.45 and are now sitting on the pan.

BTW never seen a Lancaster take off, just awesome.

Have to agree with that. The noise is unreal!

I think the only thing i've heard come close is an american B1 Bomber.
