Morning everyone

I'm in no way even approaching the level of most of you people here, and to be honest an SLR or DSLR is not really much use to me as I am more of a 'target of opportunity' type of amateur photographer.
Some time in the future I may go that route but I'm really here to get some good advice on how to get the best from compact digitals before I take the plunge.
