Evening all,

Just a quick post for my first time ....

I've decided I want to do a decent photography course, nothing fancy, just something suitable for a beginner (well probably not even a beginner, more of a happy snapper) who wants to do a lot more. Has anyone got any experience of the various courses being advertised around the web?

I've looked at the distance learning courses but not sure how useful these are in real life? (f anyone does week courses etc and doesn't want to advertise " on the forum feel free to drop me a pm!

Cheers,

Or, Rather than spend money... Why not go out with a fellow photographer and learn the basic's for free.

Check out what courses (if any) your local college run?

I'm just coming to the end of NCFE Photography Level 1

I've learned loads, met lots of people like me who didn't know much - we learned from each other as much as from the lessons, and all our horizons expanded with what we photographed, discussed, studied and viewed :)

I think it's about £200 ish class ran weekly from september to now, 3 hours per class.

I'd love to. Only thing is I don't know any other photographers sadly. Besides which if I'm paying for tuition I feel entitled to ask loads of questions and go over things a dozen times and generally "get my money's worth", if I was with a mate I'd just nod and say "yep, got it" so as not to annoy them!

Your not the only one & I have to agree
