I've always liked aircraft and would like some better pics of landing or take offs. Upto now I've been using an old sony cybershot basic thing.. i would like to improve my gear but only have around 150 to 200.. i know im not going to get everything and im not looking new..
Any suggestions as to body and lenses to keep an eye out for?

:welcome:, Paul!
Any suggestions

Definitely possible

Canon 50D can be had for around £100, or even less. It's a very fast camera with accurate 9 cross points autofocus.

Add a canon 55-250 IS II (or even Canon 75-300 III) for around the same price used and you are ok to go.

55-250 has an advantage of having an image stabilizer built in
75-300 on the other hand has longer reach and is Full Frame in case you ever upgrade. It's also a lot bigger and heavier
