Welcome to the forum :)

For someone new to photography, these are all pretty damn good (y)

Some great technique too, especially the panning on the first one...

Thanks. Yeah I had to be quick with those shots as I was only at around 40-55mm (dont have a decent lens for motorsport yet)

Hi PESolution
welcome to TP

#1 is brilliant
#2 is possibly the weakest shot here for me, but i think i can see what you tried to do.
#3 i want to be my front room, the lighting is superb.
#4 not bad, not good, probably just not for me.
#5 & #6 very very nice, maybe a slightly longer exposure to get a tiny bit more forground light, but i'm not a landscape photographer so check with them.

on the whole a very promising first batch, i look forward to seeing more of your photos.

thanks for the comments so far guys :) No shots have been taken with a tripod (with number 3 / 4 resting on a sunbed / ledge)

i'd have to say number too is the worst one out the lot and if thats the worst shot hell i'd want to be doing bad shots all day... but number 3 for me all the way it's the kind of shot i dream about taking it's beautiful. i'd have number 3 put on canvas and have it hanging in my front room

Job very well done.

Hey hey!
Stunningly lurvely set! No3 really stands out for me with its perfect exposure of the water. It looks such a lovely place!

The daffy doesnt do much for me - would be cool to see a thirds crop of it so you get the bank on the right as a third then two thirds sky to the left?

Also - you may wanna bring your pics down to 800 pix on their longest side as per ze rules. This is a stunning set that should be viewed as one and not have its links made to text!

Awesome start and welcome!

thank smooth ill edit away when i get the chance, didnt notice the 800x rules sorry

very well done i really like all of them but #3 is my fav well done and keep up the good work very well done

I like them, very much.

For me, I think #5 needs straightening a tad.

Looking at these makes me wish I had kept my 18-55 VR. I took some great shots with mine but let it go when I sold my D60. Shame.

Some lovely shots there, but the night ones especially are crying out for HDR.

I would recommend Photo Dynamic HDR which you can download for a free (unlimited) trial, has a lot of controls, and gives excellent results.

Not IMO dude. I think the colours and light 'pops' that are already there do the shot justice. I prefer the natural look.

Each to their own though and no doubt I will stand corrected soon

really like some of these
there is a real breadth in the type of shot that you do
#1 though, great action image, pin sharp and a great panning shot
but I would have just had some more space on the left to give the car a sense of where it's going. that's just me though.
#3...that would make a perfect desktop

My favourite is definitely 3. I took plenty of shots like #2 when I first started dabbling in photography, so I understand why people are dismissive of it, but I think it works - maybe a bit less of an angle would have been better for that lying-on-the-grass feel.

DizMat, yeah i think you may be right with #1, Ill try and recrop it to show more infront of the car when i get the chance :)

3, 4, 5 and 6 all taken in Egypt, with 5 and 6 being in the Sinai Desert
