Best 27 inch monitor

a friend has just upgraded his PC and is looking for a nice 27 inch monitor for £600 and under. He has been told about a new Viewsonic 4k which gets great reviews but I thought I would ask on here for him. He does photography and some video but mainly photography and his new PC can handle 4k no probs and would like Hdmi 2 if possible. ideas?

dell ultrasharp ips, whichever the current model is. 2560x1440 so not 4k but not really an issue to get such a good panel.

doesnt really need to be. unless you're pushing 4k at 50fps+

Cheers Neil, i think he is trying to future proof his current purchases so wants something that will last a few years. I know he does quite a bit of video and possibly in 4K but not totally sure.

That Dell 2715Q is the same one I keep coming back to when considering my potential 27" monitor purchase.

Not tried any other high quality monitors but I can vouch for the Dell Ultrasharps. Have a 24" one and it's awesome. Bought it new 6 years ago, and use it for several hours a day and no sign of it degrading *touch wood*.

As above, the 2715H is a beaut. It's a 2k screen but they are really really crystal clear and sharp as a tack. Well under budget too.

Don't forget the Benq photo monitor, I am using one right here and find it to be excellent, have also used Dells too.
