Yes
Ive got a stack of DVD's that I want to add to my HDD, having never ripped anything other than CD's, what app would be my best bet?

If they are films etc (anything you don't own copyright too) then nothing as it is very naughty! and asking for such would be against the rules. If it is ripping your own material off DVD then hopefully someone might be able to help. :)

Yer all the DVD's are mine, I just want to store them away and have a copy on my HDD. Dont worry its all above board :p

u can use any app to rip if u download a little app called dvd43 it removes the copy protection so u can do a full rip

Just trying out dvdfab, which seems to work ok

i use Handbrake on my Mac, it seems to rip quicker than some other programs i have used.

Second this. Used it on pc too with no problems. Depending on how you've protected the files that you are ripping you might need to get vlc too as Handbrake uses libraries from there to circumvent the decryption.

thats not strictly true - if you own the DVD, then you are entitled to make a personal copy?
