My lovely wife gave me perfect Christmas gift, Canon 5d mark iii with 17-40L lens. I have checked bank statement and she paid 2500£. I thought she paid cash the rest but no and it comes with three years extended warranty. Any ideas?

Do you mean John Lewis, large department store? If so, possibly she had a lot of vouchers.

If she got the 5D MkIII and the 17-40 and a 3yr warranty for £2,500 that is indeed a good price.

I think you need to ask Mrs gagapuk how she got such a deal.
 
Update. Online store where out of stock she went to Oxford street store only to find out they where out of stock as well. She was visiting them three times and on the last day "nice man approach me and offers help and staff discount" I thing it's 10% or am I wrong? I do enjoy my new camera and doesn't matter what happend I am very pleased she done it for me.
