Thinking of going to the West coast this weekend to take pictures of stormy seas (storm Darragh).
High tide is about 3pm (ish), so not got a great deal of time light wise.
Any one got any great location recommendations Morecambe / Fleetwood / Blackpool areas?

Tides are late afternoon when it is going dark so I don't think there'll be much drama to photograph. You might be better off going east?

im heading to new brighton on the wirral, its not a particularly big tide but should still get some dramatic shots...incidently my missus is meant to be flying to Hamburg tomorrow morning, she's terrified of flying as it is, i hope the christmas market she is going to sells clean knickers, ive got a feeling she need some

Here on Anglesey we have had 90+mph winds, it is difficult to stand up straight.

I wouldn't chance it.

I went , parked in the car park behind the fort.
I couldn’t stand up and concluded there was a very real possibility of being blown over or worse into the lake behind.
So I sacked it off, no point risking damaging me or my gear.
It will still be there for next time.

i went to new beighton and parked in the car park at perch rock, got out the car and it was ok, i wondered what the fuss was about, soon as i came round the corner of the fort to shoot the lighthouse i was nearly blown off my feet, i managed a few shots but it was a fairly small tide so not as dramatic as ive seen it in the past
