Hi folks,

I'm not really sure if this is in the right place. I've been scouting the web for the past few days looking for the cheapest price for a Canon EOS 7D, it seems the only cheapest 'legitimate' seller is Amazon, at just over £1140 body-only.

Does anyone know where I might be able to beat this price (i.e forum sponsors) before I make a purchase? I'd prefer an example with a warranty that will be accepted by Canon.

I've just ordered one from here - it's the best price I've seen and they're definitely genuine (though grey imports) but with a 3 year guarantee.

You beat me to it! :bonk:

Simplyelectronics selling these cheaper...but similar to HDEW I think they are grey imports so seller warranty only.

Does anyone think prices of 7D may come down once Nikon D7000 hit shops?

I just bought a 7D from warehouse express last week, so if you wait a few days the cost will no doubt drop considerably, it always does after i buy something

Just spoken to Ian (Kerso), and he's beaten Amazon's price including delivery, and it was a warranty that is accepted by Canon. :D

Fantastic!

Just dealt with Kerso, superb *******,good communication, packaged and delivery spot on and a lot cheaper than others, thank you
Can someone point me in the direction of this Kerso?
Thanks, Phil

Fantastic!

Out of interest, exactly how much was he charging?

(Minimises all of us spamming his inbox :) )

Just to clarify, the Amazon UK price that I saw originally was £1143 delivered, not £1043. Just a simple typo error, apologies.

Kerso quoted me £1049 body only plus £20 delivery, valid for the next week.

I've just checked my PM's and I've received another PM from Kerso, he has very kindly agreed to hold the price at £1069 delivered for me until the end of the month.

What a guy! :D

A good price but, personally, I'd rather pay the extra £75-ish for a proper UK model rather than an import.

One's still a grey import and, for some intangible reason, that would nag at me.

The main concern that people seem to have is if there is a problem with the body, is it covered by UK warranty? I can categorically state YES, as I have had a repair carried out in UK by Canon supplying Kerso's receipt.

No one should ever worry about the warranty issue from my personal experience.

Kerso has informed me that the US warranty will be honored by Canon for a UK repair, on provision of the order invoice. Given his reputation on TP, I would most certainly trust him on this.

The power charger isn't so important, it's only for charging batteries after all and it shouldn't affect the resale value. I have one or two other US appliances that have the two/three pin 125v plugs, and they all work perfectly with an adapter.
