Hi,
I don't quite know how to explain this so i will try my best.
I have a Centon K100 Film SLR and it has been working perfectly up until now.
I recently posted a picture on the forums that had been underexposed, i didn't quite know the problem but i think i do now. I developed a film a couple of days ago and there were 2 unexposed frames. I asked the developer why they didn't expose and he said its probably a shutter which isn't firing properly, and it will only get worse with time. Now it's funny that he said this, because during a shoot, i had the shutter set up to 1/2 a second, but when i pressed the shutter release, it released at a speed of more like 1/500th, i just ignored it at the time and continued to shoot. But today i have opened my camera up without a film installed and decided to do some shutter tests, and unfortunately i have found that every so often (probably 1 in 7 shots) the shutter just closes immediately and doesn't hang for 1 second like i set it to.
I am wondering if this could be something to do with the battery? Maybe i need a new one? I think the batteries are 3 years old which definitely won't help :s
So could this be a battery problem? or am i looking at something more serious here?
Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, a pre-thank you for all responses,
Steve.
