Biggin Hill - Where Outside?

Many years ago I camped out at the North end past the Gas works off the main (Leaves Green) Road. You could get close to the airfield fence with some hiking.

Is that still OK or are there other spots to consider

I have to admit, family duties took over so we went to the in-laws

Because of that sacrifice Duxford is a definite now
