I've got a family do on Saturday just outside of Newquay, but fancied doing some birding first light on Sunday. Can anybody suggest either a reserve of a beach/estuary worth checking out?
Hi Steve,
Not into birding personally but there are Egrets at The Gannel river in Newquay or much better, google Hayle estuary which has hunderds of birds and is owned by the RSPB. It's about 30min drive from Newquay though.
Like Martin, not really into birds, but the Gannel as Martin says, Porth reservoir, and there is a great Shag at the boating lake along with geese, and Muscovy Ducks.
