This is a beach about 90mins from where I live. I doesn't have a lot of people on it as it is about 40 mins drive from the nearest town and a little difficult to get too, but I love desolate beeches.
These were taken on a stormy day. We were planning to camp for another night, but the rain was quite heavy and we moved on.

I think these clouds show some form of "upper atmosphere disturbance", which we learn to associate with rain - usually lots of it.

These are the black rocks which have a high proportion of mineral sands in them.

It's when everybody goes in that's the best time to go out!

I like that set… thanks for the pleasure!

We go to Assam, Meghalia and Manipur in June. Few tourists ever go there and even fewer in the wet season. It will be wet, but beautiful

Dramatic clouds!!

10 mins from Portmadoc if I am not mistaken

Dave
I think you would have to be quick. I'm guessing that Portmadoc is in North Wales? This Black Rock Beach is in New South Wales (obviously related in someones mind).

in #1 there are mammatus clouds i like #1 the best.
