Anyone know what brand of dual-layer blank DVDs are good? I mean the ones that are around 8GB.
I am after about 25 or 50 but want some that actually work ok because my brother bought some cheapish ones but about half of them didn't open after burning!

Also where is a good place to get them online? I saw some but they were about £55 for 50 which is more than I can pay really. :'(

I agree I get mine from Maplins especially when they have them on offer. Seems a lot of Mac stuff is on Duel Layer

Don't forget you need a burner capable of writing dual layer!

perhaps why the others didn't work? ;)

I get my Verbatim Dual Layers from www.scan.co.uk, free delivery if you are a member of avforums and your order is over £20

very little difference between verbatim and bargain brand DL DVDs imho.

I've been using cheap ones for my 360 for 2+ years and the only issue I have had is with my messing settings up when burning. The DVD's have been fine!

My Macbook Pro has stopped burning cheap DVD's altogether. Especially cheap DL discs.

Then again, I paid about 12p each for mine online. They used to work perfect though, it's just my dodgy DVD burner. So you might be fine with the cheap ones.

depending on what youre using them for the verbs should last longer than cheapos, i use both but put important stuff on verbs, kids games for xbox go on aone discs - they usually end up knackered and scratched to bits

to be fair the verbs would end up knackered and scratched to bits if you handed them to your kids :)
