Bloody Weather!!

Just thought I'd share an experience with you......

Around 45 minutes ago I was browsing the forum. I looked out of my window at the local power station. Behind it the skies were grey and menecing, to the west the sun was setting and the sky was clear(ish) - the low sun made the steam from the cooling towers almost pink, the brightly lit towers themselves looked almost surreal against the dark background. And to top it off there was a full rainbow covering the whole power station.......

Between me and the power station are fields, then a wood. I thought to myself this is a great photo oppertunity, there's a field of corn with the tracks pointing towards the power station with a lone Oak tree in the foreground and I though that would make a fantastic photo.

Off I set, camera in hand accompanied by my 2 labradors (any excuse for a walk with those 2)

Get to said field, but cant quite get the rainbow in shot. So I walk into the field opposite (farmers left it fallow so no problems there) just as I get to the other side of the field the MOTHER of all rain showers hit :lol:

I had no coat, no umberella, nothing!! So here I am, back at home - so wet that even my trollies were soaked, damp camera and.......

No bloody pic!!!!

Bloody weather!

:lol::lol::lol::lol: Sods law I'm affraid.

He who hesitates, and all that. Missed many a shot, due to the rapidly changing british weather. Sometimes your luck just runs out.:shrug:

Hope your camera was weatherproof. Had a few similar experiences as of late, always carry at least a carrier bag in your pocket to throw over the camera if worst comes to worst.
