Bokeh Studio?

Hi,

Ok so I bought one of these 'bokeh masters kits' and whilst it works great for some fairy lights down my local shopping alley in the studio space is an issue.

Ideally I was thinking to use the heart shape for some 'cutesy' shots of couples etc BUT, within the 11ftish space I have, using my 50mm 1.8 on my 7D i'm unable to get the person in focus and throw the background out to an effective amount to get the shaped bokeh showing.

I know this seems a silly question, but is there any way to fix this? or is it simply a case that I need a lot more space that I haven't got?

If you've got the subject at the minimum focus length, and the background as far away as possible, then I don think there is anything else you can do, at least nothing I'm aware of?

bah I thought as much but just thought I would post here, hmmmmm back to the drawing board I guess.

Only alternative is a 30mm sigma but I don't think the extra 20mm is enough either
