Morning all. I've had an enquiry about potentially using one of my landscape pictures on a book cover - email below:
"I am a freelance picture editor working with Bloomsbury Publishing on a forthcoming book release, and I spotted two of your images which would potentially be perfect for the cover. I wanted to ask if they were available to license for a project such as this, and if so, what your fee would be for World English rights, up to 10,000 print run?
We would love to be able to mock up a cover to send to the author, if you were amenable?"
I need to see which images they're interested in (and the book/author I guess) but what base fee should I be going for? I don't do landscape photography for commercial gain, it's a hobby for me but have done well in major competitions and don't want to sell myself short.
