Book or album?

I think I'm being thick here, but what is the difference between a photo album and a photo book?

An album (generally) is a collection of photographs stuck in to an album, similar to a scrap book (well, better quality obviously, but you get the idea).

A photo book is just that. Printed pages of images and text bound like a book in either soft or hard backs.

Photos in albums are also often protected by a a cover (wedding albums usually arnt) where as a book is just that, so the pages can get damaged easier.
