Can someone recommend a good digital photography book?
Most that i've found in the library are ok, but at least 4-5 yrs old!
I'm looking for something that starts at the basics, and goes into more advanced aspects so it'd keep both me and the Mrs busy!

I like the Scott Kelby Digital Photography set - you can get 1-3 for a reasonable price. Covers lots of different things and is aimed at a relative beginner, without being too basic. I've not got/read book 4.

+ loads for Kelby.

Your library should be able to order any book for you (though it may take a while), so's you can see it before buying a copy. Do bear in mind that the fundamental principals of photography are the same for film or digi, so the old ones can be useful. I've picked up some good stuff for pennies in charity shops and at boot sales.

If you're planning to do your own processing (and you should!), you will of course need up-to-date info as this continues to evolve. Kelby's books on Photoshop and Lightroom are high on the list of Good Things To Have.
