Hi,
I wonder if anyone else has had a problem with them? I needed some photos done in a larger size and within the hour, when I came back they told me that they had not printed them as they were taken by a pro photographer and I needed prof that they have given me permission to print them. I said I took them and they didn't beloved me lol. What would you do?

Take it as a compliment, then sign a letter of permission to yourself!

Happened to my sister-in-law when she went to get some pictures printed that I'd taken of my nieces and nephew.

They took her word that they weren't "professional" and didn't require any proof either.

This was a couple of years ago and from what I can make out, some places have got a little hotter on this.

Just ask for a pen and paper... 'I give myself full and complete rights to my images. Including, but not limited to, the right to have them printed at a high street store.'
TBH it's good they checked.

I agree its good they checked, I'm not moaning or kicking up a fuss with them, just wondered if it happens a lot?!

I had the same problem, when trying to pay for some 6x4 prints. I was told they looked good and I need the permission of the photographer to print them. The sales person took my word that I had taken the images it and I suggest she could check the EXIF if she did not believe me. I suspect my wife's laughter properly helped as she was highly amused that they were good and therefore not mine.
