I am off to Bournemouth for a couple of days with wife and young son. I have not been since i was a child so totally out of touch with whats in and around the area. I do not want to venture too far away, but was wondering what was within relative driving distance that may be worth a visit to get a
few snaps? Any gardens? houses? worth a visit? Anything I should not miss?

Within 30-40 minute is my stomping grounds. Lulworth cove, Durdle door, plus many more.
 
I think Luke Woodford of Luke Woodford photography is based there, I seem to remember a lot of his shots are from the Bournemouth area. Just search for Luke Woodford using the search facility at the top of the page.

Luke is from Eastbourne, there is plenty in the area around Bournemouth, New Forest, Lulworth, Durdle Door, Not far from Wimbourne Is Kingston Lacy which is a national trust property and has some great photo opportunities in the gardens.
