Spent a couple of hours at a local boxing gym yesterday - shot around 300 frames and got 66 keepers (Not bad for me!).

It was my first time at it and had a great time, and really enjoyed exploring the capabilites of my gear (E-3, 12-60SWD / 50mm F2 / FL-50R Flash)

I do like #4 the best - the whole shadow and light works well for me. #2 is good for me too. The colour ones don't seem to have the impact of the B&W.

Thanks

I was a little unsure of number 4, but after a bit of a play in lightroom i quite like the end result.

#4 rocks. Nice capture. reminds me of a shot of Naseem Hamed i bought a few years back...... can't think what i done with it now!

Hi Chris

It's good to see a completely different subject. I think the mono shots work well with this subject. Really good images.

4 is spot on and 6 works well too. Are you a member of the gym or did you just ask to go along?

Thanks, i quite like the B&W ones as the strong light and the boxers physiques works quite well.

One of my neighbours owns the Gym and manages 9 boxers, some unknown, and some not so unknown (so expect some shot of more well known faces as well :))

She asked me if i was interested in become the official gym 'tog', someone that can grow with the boxers and travel to matches with them to build up a trusting relationship. I though about it for a nanosecond and said i'd give it a go.

Back there most lunchtimes over the next week to meet the rest of the boxers, and to discuss payments etc :D
