Panasonic FZ8 - 7 mp.

Why?

I own a Fuji Finepix S6500FD. Its a 6 Mega Pixel Bridge Camera.

I have an 8mp bridge camera. Never gets used though.

whats the model etc...i am not spamming its just i thought i might pick up a good bargain
my olympus C765 is showing signs of wear and tear and i get GAS now and again
thanks pollsters...i was beginning to think this was a big boy's forum and all that

Someone had a Panasonic FZ28 up for sale in the classifieds forum when I was looking the other day - that gets very good reviews.

I think it's still available, he gave his ad a bump this morning.
I have a FZ8 and FZ18, both great cameras. I'm looking to get a FZ28 for my 30 yrs service at work.:)

I wouldn't get too hung up on mp - I don't know masses about it but I think it only becomes noticable if you want to print larger size images. What type of camera are you actually looking for?

a bridge didge with i/s
dont need video but use P and ASM..only
9 Mp is max for the chip you get in a bridge
so 6 and upwards would be fine
i am a 6x4 print man and online stuff
big zoom is not a real requirement but macro is

i like the non slr shape but find most 'rangefinder' shapes dont have electronic viewfinders so parallax is a problem and i dont hold my camera out in front of me to take a shot...still like to retreat inside the box and compose and daydream
present cam is the oly C765 but its beginning to rattle and make motor noises etc so i feel it could be coming to the end of its 4 year life...20Gb of shots taken so far

what could you recommend etc...i know i may have to ditch the batts and the Xd cards eventually as Sd looms big on most makes now

It's a Konica Minolta A200. I believe the company went under so don't imagine they're available anymore. Was a lovely camera to start out with and was capable of producing some top notch photo's.

had a quick look at the reviews...it got good marks and fairly strong review
must have been an early provider of image stabilisation in a still camera?

cheers

Yeh I think it was one of a handful that offered it at the time. It also had live-view equivalent on the display which could be twisted to most angles. That seemed to be fairly unique at the time too. You'll be able to get something a lot more up-to-date now though if you're after a bridge camera.
