id like to have a crack at taking HDR photos, but i cant seem to get the settings right on my camera, i can achieve the result, in a sense, with photoshop, but id like to take the photos myself before merging them.

i use a 400D, im still getting to grips with the camera, could someone be kind enough to walk me through the stages required to set my camera up to do this automatically? or point me in the direction of somewhere i can find such advice.

ive checked for online tutorials and i cant see anything useful, im happy to purchase a few beers for anyone who can do this, genuinely, ill post them to you.

Its in the menu system, look for the Exposure Compensation scale, and it will let you set the brackets to take exposures up to two stops either side of what it meters as correct. You can either take three single exposures, or set it to continuous drive and hold down the shutter button to rattle off the three shots in one press.
