I go about 3 or 4 times a week. Good and bad times i guess for photography. You should enjoy it there.

Hi again
One of the reasons for going was hopefully to get some kingfisher shots

They are about, but you may have to wait a while to get a shot. I saw 2 fledgling's yesterday. All the togs i spoke too had not seen them at all.

Is'nt this where CT, Ken and Ian, plus many more were getting their excellent shots of the KF from?

I seem to remember there was talk that a warden that did'nt like the togs, had kept the water at a level that detered the kingfishers. Rude man.

Not sure about a warden not liking togs, the water is going down anyway. But yes this is where photos have been taken of KF. They was about today also.

I have a friend in Coventry who goes there often. Couple of years ago he sent me a pic of a Bittern.

They was about during the winter this time i got about 6 shots. Quite pleased with them.

It there anything to do with 200mm max? I live very close so I could go there.

If you live close might be worth a trip, cant really answer about the 200m max though. i use 400 m max where others use 1000mm just depends on what you want really. I was there today and got KF and some other stuff, only shot about 100 photos though. Good luck if you go.
