Morning all

I was at Biggin hill on sunday and noticed that my lens was playing up, I had it on Aperture Priority but all my pics started coming out totally blown as in f4.5 coming out totally white. so I had to move it to shutter priority (not a biggie I hear you say) but I was having to use shutter speeds of at least 2000/sec to get a semi good exposure.

Also my 'bokeh' seems to have gone  Please see below for example 3200/sec f4.5 see there is no real apparent depth of field at all.

Is me Lens dead, is it an ex Lens etc?

Thanks in advance for any help, sorry that I have rambled on a bit

Try cleaning the contacts on the camera and lens carefully with a pencil rubber.
Both shots were taken at 4.5 which I suspect is wide open on your lens, it may be your lens isn't stopping down, have you tried depth of field preview (if your camera has it) set it to f22 and try it then if it goes dark it's obviously working.
Flash the second shot was a 100 iso (1/320 at 4.5)

Thanks for that will give it a go unfortunatly I dont have a depth of field preview button,

Flash sorry for the use of that word , I was just hoping for a bit of a blurrier background, to me the back ground seems to in focus for a shot on a DSLR at 4.5, or am I being abit to anal :baby:

My god Photobucket has really made those images look bad!
