#4 being the better B&W rendition because of the DR and micro contrast.
#1 is my favourite but display a too high contrast, and
#2 needs serious keystoning.
but I'm also wondering if there is anything you can do with the sky in #2 as it isn't really helping the photo. Some software allows you to add a coloured filter effect on b&w and the blue in a sky can be improved by an orange filter. Might be worth trying if you can do it?
Thanks ynot, that's what I thought when I first saw it, despite being a sunny day, I deliberrately went for a more contrasty processing. It wasn't nearly as interesting in colour though.
