I am struggling to figure out a way to copy a TV recording made with Eye TV from the hard drive of my Mac to DVD.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks - Simon.

Nice.

Have you got iDVD or iMovie? They would both do a good job authoring a DVD.

I have both, but when I try to drag and drop the file into iDVD it won't allow me to do so?

All I want to do is copy the file to a DVD so I can watch it on a normal household DVD player.

Is it High Def or Stdandard Def material? Just because it's an .mpg, it doesn't mean it's MPEG2. It's probably MPEG transport stream format if it's recorded off air...

Does iMovie read it OK?

It plays the recording that it has made to my hard drive if that's what you mean?

After a lot more searching around, I've downloaded a program called ExpressBurn and that seems to have done the job :D

Thanks for all the input.

Tried this and every time I drop the file into Burn it crashes and states 'Burn quit unexpectedly'? I'm running Lion, so I am guessing it is not compatible with Lion?

Hmmm... Weird! I'm running Lion and use it without any problems at all.

It even converts any formats it doesn't like automatically!
