Haa you been then.. I havent and I have been given the job (local paper) for sat night.. burnley blues festival..

Burley Blues Festival was a tremendous event when I used to go big US names as well as the best from the UK . Sadly it's much reduced these days - only one day But Mike Sanchez is headlining and he's phenomenal.

Never photographed there but many years ago it had a hard reputation.
The last time I went I was given a serious lugholing by a bouncer who had a steel knuckleduster under his leather glove.
What a night! blood 10 foot up the walls and dozens of broken chair legs littering the floor.
They don't make saturday nights like that anymore

I ahve been given a list of artists that I must get.. first is
5pm on; Paul Jones (Ex manfred Mann)

So I ahve to be there before 5pm ... Burnley are playing Man City at 5.30pm ...

Just getting into burnley is going to be a task in itself

Well I really enjoyed it.. Lighting on stage was brilliant.. my 135m f2 was perfect for the job.. the 50mm performed well from the back and the 35mm got an outing.. I sent a selection in.. I hope they use more than one pic in the lancashire telegraph.. will put some on here during week when processed.
