Had a day at Whipsnade with Hypnotic today. I've been countless times but never realised that they have a butterfly garden there :bonk:

So on went the 100mm Macro!

It wasn't ideal conditions for macro today by any means. It was very breezy so every time I got one nicely framed the bleedin' plant blew out of position :help:

Still, a bit of perseverance got these

Hey Guys these are great, you should do macro more often (y)

I think these butterfly pics look ace, from both of you - Nicely done especially with the conditions - Great colours and sharpness, and angles that are that little bit different (y)

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated :)

Alby, I have to say, whenever I use my 100mm and try this sort of thing, it makes me appreciate just how good you are at this stuff :) It's damn hard! The DOF is so critical! 1mm off with the focus point and the shot is only fit for the bin :(

Some great shots there..............this macro stuff is addictive isn't it?

wind + macro = very difficult...........so you did really well(y)

Thanks Keith, really appreciate that :) and yeah It's very addictive, really challenging, which I like :)

Nice set Paul especially #2 (y)

They do look a tad soft Kev, but likewise #2 for me (y)

Thanks Chris. No2 is my favorite too :)
