My friends 450D who came with me to collect the lens.
Yes. Him and his girlfriend welcomed us at the door.
Which is why the end we turned up with nothing and decided once I was happy with it we'd take him to the cashpoint, with the lens, to hand over the cash... But I felt like a knob 'cus it was the most genuine item I've ever bought.
She managed to get it discounted to £750 new from Jacobs, but they would only give store tokens back so they decided to sell it and make some money back to buy a discounted 24-70L instead. In the end I paid £625.
Very glad I didn't!
I will be gutted if that happens, but it could happen with anything -- I bought a Xbox 360 the other day off eBay, as well as my PS3 and various electrical devices in my house that could all go wrong and need to go back in for repair. This is the most 'secure' thing I've bought in terms of that NOT happening, and I don't know how you're meant to avoid it unless you skip buying
second hand completely? Obviously not many people agree with you as the classifieds on this forum are very busy, and eBay are hardly not doing well...
