Hi would you buy a expensive broken lens to get fixed if the lens was cheap
You best not take the risk, let me know where this is advertised and I'll check it for you![]()
Mike.P said:I bought a really tatty but optically perfect Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 MKI a while back that didn't work correctly for £50 when I was thinking of moving to Canon. As it was I didn't make the move and so it sat in the cupboard for well over a year. Anyway, couple of months ago I bought a cheap 50D so sent it to Sigma to be repaired .. cost me £120 and they basically rebuilt it with a new focus motor and other bits.
£170 all in and it works like a charm now ...![]()
He wants £900 now!
This is what they have put
Canon Lens EF 200mm 1:1.8 L Ultrasonic
Lens works good but sometimes shows error01 on my camera when photographing dark places. After that need to restart a camera.
Service said power diaphragm needs to be replaced so I have it now and is also for sale for £100. I can not guarantee that this part cause the problem. Apart of that everything works perfect on my camera.
