hi there after crimbo and my 21'st ive managed to get get about £200 of vouchers at jessops:love:. my porblem is i dont no what to get with the money. im thnking about a nifty fifty so that's £79 gone. i was thinking of some filter's either cokin or lee(witch is better) got a few question about them. i dont no how they work in relation to lens diamiter if you need totally new adapter's or just ring's. and if the cokin will fit in the lee holder viservurser.

also witch are the best to start with as in grad's, fstop reducers, ND.

i really dunno
or is there a kit you can get tried looking for one but cant find any.

cheers sam
any help would be great dont want to buy the wrong stuff that i dont need

Do you have to spend them right away, or could you wait until there is something you really want.

For the filters you get adaptor rings for each lens diameter, they are only a few pounds each.

nah dont have top spend right away. just thought they might have a sale on so would be better to do it now not sure.

Just keep a eye on the business pages, I don't think they will be around this time next year, so spend them soon.

I have found my Cokin filters produce a magenta cast, (ND + ND Grad) cant comment on other makes. looks like your main interests are cars and nighttime photography so perhaps others will be able to offer better advice with this in mind.

cheers yes my main interest are cars and nghttime. im of to south africa in march so was thinking about that aswell be on the coast so i was wondering witch is the proper filters to slower the shutter down enough for the sea shot's

Having just got a nifty 50 for crimbo i'd say without doubt get one of those!!

It was the 1.8 version, amazing first few snapshots over christmas. If I get a chance I'll post a few!
