I like corvids so put eggs and chicken carcass pieces on the bird table along with seeds for woodland birds. We have a 17 acre smallholding in north Shropshire that has 102 acres of woodland that backs onto about another 75 acres. Whilst I get crows and the odd raven on the table the dogs, at dusk the other day alerted me to something unusual occurring. I looked out and saw a buzzard on the bird table feasting on chicken. The Sony AX700 video camera runs 24 / 7 all year, but it had neutral density number 2 filter set, so its late dusk performance was pretty poor. I believe a buzzard on a bird table is quite unusual? I'm not sure if it's the same one (we have a lot around here) that chewed into our peafowl aviary last year and tried to catch one of my wife's white doves, but who knows...? I should have rung it. (not wrung it.....

I am into amateur television so these videos are as received by me after my bouncing them off a geostationary satellite back down to earth. Yes, it's sad, as my wife regularly reminds me <LOL>
I caught the buzzard in the aviary by hand, got a few talon gouges, and released him / her without harm and without it killing any of our birds, luckily.
