I've got a mate who's thinking of going to the Mach Loop for the day tomorrow. He's hoping to strike it lucky and and see a few nice things flying through but I was just wondering, is there any way of finding out what is likely to be flying?

Also, where exactly (preferably pointed out on a map) is the best place to sit and wait for the aircraft? He's not actually a photographer, he's more of a plane spotter so he'll probably be making a walk out of it and moving about bit.

If he's successful with his trip tomorrow then I am tempted to go with him next time with the camera.

Cad west is the one to go for as a first trip but the hill is very steep, as for what will be there...sometimes things do trickle down the grape vine but mostly its just a case of going and seeing what turns up.

Fridays can be a bit slow also. But not always! Pure pot luck really. I had one Friday with 2 aircraft all day. Had snow, rain, fog though!
Make sure he gets wrapped up properly. It'll be cold. ;)

Kev.
