Hi guys going on a day trip tomorrow, hopefully with my new camera.:)
Any tips on where to go for some photo opportunity.

Anywhere!!! Cambridge is full of places to see. Suggest you just get a map and walk around! Loads of colleges. Opposite Kings College (ish, by Market Square) there is a church and for £3 you can climb very narrow steps to top of tower to have great views all around.

Only problem may be too many tourists getting in the way!!!

Lots to shoot in Cambridge :) Students on bicylcles are probably a bit thin on the ground right now, but most of the good tourist bits are concentrated right in the centre.

The view from Great St Mary's (as cambsno mentions) over the colleges and Market Square is good, then wander down Kings Parade and Trinity Street. Head down any side street, entrance or college off there and you'll come to 'the backs' of the colleges as this area is known, next to the river. I've fallen in there a few times, while punting :)

You've got to do Kings College Chapel and Trinity College is pretty good round there. Bridge of Sighs etc. Take a punt either from Silver Street (up river towards Granchester) or Magdelene Street to do the backs. Or you can pick up a punt complete with puntalier to do it for you at a few other places long the way. Look for hand written signs.

Some of these should whet your appetite. Amazing panoramas and HDR technique - brilliant photographer :) http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=159831
