I seem to recall that someone (name Focal Plane Press vaguely comes to mind) used to publish books on every model of SLR.

They covered everything that was in the camera manual, but expanded on it too.

Been plowing through the mag adverts, but don't see any mention of them.

Anyone know of this?

The two that I'm aware of are the "Magic Lantern" guides and the "Digital Field Guides" published by Wiley.

I like the Magic Lantern Guides because they provide a bit more insight than do the manufacturer's instruction manuals (at least I fing that is so regarding Canon Cameras).

However, there is a lot of specific information on various camera models available on the web. Do a Google search to acces the info.

Thanks folks.
Unfortunately Shortcourses don't do Pentax.

Ordered the Magic Lantern guide for my camera from PC Learning Store.

Cheers
