Camera Insurance

Unless you have equipment worth thousands, or need insurance for professional liability then its usually cheapest to add your gear to your home insurance.

Can't do that home insurance not in my name.....

I just spoke to a local insurance company today...

For Public Liability & legal protection, I was quoted £176 a year. With £15K's worth of gear insurance (cameras, lenses, lights, computers, phones, any electronic device that I use for business that's worth insuring really), plus the public liability and legal cover it was about £450. That was through Aviva. He's waiting to hear back from Towergate, but they should be able to do a better deal - they have specific photography and video insurance solutions, so check with them first.

If not for the fact that I use my gear for work, my household insurance (with Churchill) covers it.

if you do a quick search, photogaurd comes up alot with both good and bad views on them which is the same as any place really, its who ill be getting mine with in a few days.

Very expensive though

I also use photoguard but whatever you do, don't use E & L.
