Camera insurance

Having just bought my very first DSLR, how do you guy insure yours from accidents etc?

Is it ok to add it on house insurance pilicy?

Personally I have mine on my house insurance - but I rang to make them aware of it and make sure it is all covered. Pay special attention to their exclusions ie if it is in a car, away from home etc etc etc.

Make sure you keep all receipts and serial numbers for each bit of kit.
