Anyone know if there will be another price drop in the New Year Sales.????
Been looking at getting a Nikon D7000, My last camera was the D3100. Paid about £500, for it from PCWorld then about 6 months later it was 200 quid cheaper.
Prices dropping all the time, so going to wait till the sales and hope the D7000 drops in price again.

On the phone app so cant see your post count. But look at secondhand and you wont loose as much. As a d800 user I know this too well. Payed 2400 not long after release and within a year and a half sell for 1500 used. Im sure you could pick one up for about 450-500 used . Due to demand I managed to buy a d700 at a good price used and only lost 100-150 over a year.

as with anything technology related, there is never a good time to buy as there is always something round the corner.

Hang on a minute I'll just have a quick consult of my crystal ball to determine what the future holds, Oh it's not a crystal ball just the reflection off my lens :D

Hi Kevin

Thats the question we all ask and would love to know - I think the problem is when they do come down to a low price, a couple of months later a new model comes out and you're back to square one (or there is a rumour a new model is coming out...) The best advice I can give, is what my FIL said to me a few years ago, if you are happy with the price when you bought it, then it was the right price for you and don't forget, the few months (or in your case 6 months) you've had the camera, you've had the enjoyment of it...

I've seen a lot of offers on at the moment, not sure if there will be any 'Boxing day' sales on what your looking at - I'd find the best price now and if there is an offer on, depending on what / how much, I'd be very tempted to go for it...

As others have said it's already a great price after cashback, I wouldn't wait around if I were you, or just buy 2nd hand as they often go for around £400 these days...
