Not sure if this is the right section but i need help...

Basically went to a car meet today, got the camera out stuck the lens and and it wouldnt take a photo! on AF is focus's perfect but it wont take a picture it just keeps re-focusing, but when i put it on MF it works fine and takes a picture so i know its not my lens?

Anyone know the issue here?

its a canon eos 20D

try clean the contact (in the camera and in the Lens) one time happened to me and that was the problem. is just one lens or all the lens?

if it was a subject with little contrast, it would struggle. This could be a car, if the AF point is on a surface with no contrast, such as a car body panel, which is all one colour, there is no contrast.

have you cleaned the AF sensor at the bottom of the camera?
just below the mirror, get your blower and remove any bits and pieces on there

If nothing is apparent, it's always worth resetting the camera to factory settings.
