Can anyone recognise this lens mount?

Hi everyone,

I’ve just bought a bag of camera bits from a charity shop that had a Minolta Dinax 5000i, a Pentax KM, and a bunch of lenses etc. One of the lenses doesn’t fit either and I’ve tried it on several other makes and it doesn’t fit anything? It’s not a K, or OM, it has a Nikon cap on it but I think that’s a red herring as it doesn’t fit the two Nikons I have. Is anyone good at recognising from photos?

Thanks

It's not Minolta either, could it be Fujica or Konica? All of the ones online are either M42, Pentax or Minolta.

P1010003.JPG Is it Praktica bayonet ?

edit , on looking at my Praktica Bayonet lenses it;s not one of them, here's a pic anyway

It's not Konica...and if it's not Yashica then Fujinon looks similar but not identical to pic.

By the looks of it, it's a third-party OM mount.
I had a look on ebay, and here's another third-party one shot at the same angle as yours:

I know, but putting the two images in different windows and flipping back and forth, they're virtually identical, apart from the OP's is missing the second lower right button.

It's minolta MC. The give away is that it says MC on the front. That's the only way I'd know :)

Nothing like a Minolta MC - the MC on front of this will be "Multi-Coated" . See http://www.subclub.org/minman/mounts.htm

It does look most like an OM with a missing button, One button on an OM is the release and the other is for stop down, could that be why it won't fit an OM?

Minolta MC has two asymmetrical locking lugs, and the third (symmetrical) lug has an off-centre slot machined into it. I cannot find any MCs that have two control sliders, and the one they do have is in a different position in relation to the locking lugs when compared to the OP's lens.
