Can I take a camera to Brands Hatch and Silverstone?

Hi ,Can I take 100-400 lens to those race tracks as a spectator? Planning to go to either one this weakend.

Silverstone website says -you can take pictures as long as the are not for commercial purpose .I wont be using them for commercial purpose butI had problems tacking mu camera+lens to a International Cricket match due to the vary reason

Yup, no issues at all, nobody will hassle you about cameras - not like other sporting or concert venues.

Is grand stand a good place to take pictures ? or is there any other good spots in those two tracks for photos?

There are much better spots to take shots. Although grandstands have their uses.

Have a search for a track guide i wrote for brands a year or two ago. May help you out.
 
From personal experience, you can get around most spots of a circuit. Went to silverstone a few years ago and got aound nearly the whole circuit in a normal BTCC day.

Every year I go to Oulton Park, and usually spend 1 race in 1 section, then move to the next.

Enjoy, and youll see many people with camera equipment :)
