Can you help my son with software?

This is what he asked me to ask you.

"Hi,

I am looking for some **opensource** software that can either do one or all of the following:

A java library that can convert an animated SVG file into an animated Gifs.

OR

A java library that can split an animated SVG into it's indiviudal frames.

OR

An opensource application that can do either of the above."



I have no idea and would be grateful for any suggestions you may have.

Unless your son has a computer or boot option for every operating system ever created, yes it does matter.

ImageMagick might do what he wants:

It's cross platform, at least for the major OS builds.

If he only wants to convert SVG files to GIF files, there are online converters that could do that easily.

I'll get him to post something on this latter. I think he's looking for code to plug into his app or something. I dunno, I'm computer illiterate :bonk:
