Hi all,

I have around £250 to spend on my next lens, which will ideally be used for Landscape photography & visits to places like the Cheddar Gorge. I was wondering if the 10-18mm STM would be good for this kind of shots, or if there is another lens that would be good ?. I am willing to save a bit more for a better lens if need be, my current kit consists of the 18-55 USM, Nifty Fifty, Canon 70-300 IS. I am interested in all forms of photography, so figured that a wide angle lens would be good to have in the bag, as I alread have the Zoom & Prime.

Any opinions on this would be great.

Many Thanks.

Im in the same boad as you, with reagrds to looking for a wide angle lens.. and from what i have seen the canon 10-18 stm gets some great reviews, espcialliay for the price..

I have now taken the plunge and ordered one today, with the budget you have you could easily get new, and have money left for hood, filters etc if need be

Good point about the hood and filters, hope that you have fun with the lens. I am only down the road from WEX, so will be going there to buy it instead of mail order. :)

I remember creating that thread a little while back, but thought that I would create this thread, in case anyone were to offer any alternative to the 10-18 :)
