I bought a mint second hand canon f2.8 17-55 IS USM back in October really like it etc etc.
However round December time I noticed when the lens was extended to 55mm you could physically move the extended part from the barel up around 4mm, and just blamed it on poor quality of its build. U
Went back to uni today and saw a couple of my pro mates, and remembered to show it to them, whos initial reaction was 'thats f*****d, you are not using it, that needs to get sorted'. (They even showed in moved when at 17mm!!). One of them is taking it with him to a CPS thing to get it looked at, e.g. how much will it cost to get fixed etc.
Was just wondering if anyone else had had a similar problem with them, or its going to be a pricey job.... (At around 50mm it used to meet resistance and click when i was zooming in and out, and was wondering if this was related, as it doesnt do that anymore).
