Either I'm being thick or my kids have played about with my settings !!!

Both back button and shutter button are activating the focus, never did this before as it was set to bbf !!! Arghhhhh :(

Every time a manual

That's what I thought but buggered if I can work out how I done it before lol

In the menu goto the Custom Functions folder

C.Fn IV: Operation others

set it to No2

Never knew that so thanks for the info.

I do have one question though, if you keep your thumb on the back button, does it make any difference at all when you press the shutter?

Assuming both back button and shutter are set for focussing.

Just one extra, and minor, tip...

Get yourself and old 256 or 512 Mb card and backup your camera settings to it (ie save all your CFn preferences).

Instant camera reset when something goes awry! :)

Thanks, Mark didn't know that either, really must read a wee bit more of the manual;)

Anyway, settings saved for a rainy day!

Some good tips here, been out shooting some rugby today and have had real issues getting 'in focus' shots !

I think the kids have played around with it more than I thought, god knows where I'm gonna go from here :(
