Hi
I have previously worked in film but now want to make the change to digital. The problem I have is choosing a camera for my budget (£600). I have been used to using a Nikkormat with some fantastic Nikon lenses and am worried I am going to be disappointed in the quality of the images. I have been reading various reviews and am wondering about the Canon Eos 50d. I have seen a 50mm F1.8 lens which I think would be good for portrait work as most of my photos are likely to be of my husband and son. I could then save up for a zoom lens at a later date. Everything is always a compromise in terms of quality and cost but am I making a good decision? Any views most welcome.
Thanks
